Send the code to dispatch. They have the repair table; you have the controls.

Missing a tool? Improvise for 2 turns. There is always a repair path.

Extra turns raise the odds of an increasingly stupid disaster.

CELL BLOCK 3 / JOINT LIABILITY

    Take your time.
    Blame each other later.

    1. One shared, persistent workshop.Invite your partner. The first person operates the machine; the second reads diagnostics. Agree to swap whenever you like.
    2. Talk it through. The operator sees the active fault code. Dispatch has a table of repair instructions. Messages and reading cost no turns, and remain saved for your next visit.
    3. Only work actions move the game. There is no countdown, no shift, and no offline deterioration. Correct repairs cost 1 turn. Improvised fixes and tool patches cost 2. Wrong settings add heat and damage.
    4. The machine gets petty.Every 4 work turns can bring a good or bad event. After 12, events happen every 3 turns and explosions become possible. At 100 heat or 0 integrity, you both become adorable casualties.
    5. Broken is still fixable.Improvise with any missing tool, or have dispatch patch it. Two coolant flushes per incident can lower the heat. Scavenging may find parts—or make things worse.
    6. Build something lasting.Finish all faults to earn parts. Buy permanent upgrades between incidents, then open the next disaster. Death keeps your conversation, shared parts, upgrades, and logbook intact.
